Ana Istratescu - Biography

Icons inscribed on wood are written by Ana Istratescu, a well accomplished iconographer.

Ana’s works can be seen in museums and churches throughout the world, as well as in private collections of art enthusiasts and leaders of faith denominations.

One of her monumental works was the full inside restoration of the cathedral of Timisoara, Romania, the site of the first fallen victims of the anti-communist revolution.

The spirituality of Ana’s work can also be found in the piece entitled “Resurrection,” a part of the permanent display of the Ecumenical Institute of Geneva, Switzerland.
